Według badania Protourisme z 2015 roku, prawie 2,6 miliona Francuzów praktykuje naturyzm regularnie, a prawie 13,5 miliona okazjonalnie. Wśród nich większość stanowią mężczyźni (60%) i osoby poniżej 50. roku życia (70%). Nowe pokolenia przechodzą na naturyzm, co wiąże się z niewielkim wzrostem liczby osób uprawiających naturyzm (+2% w 2015 roku).
